Last night was paging through an old journal. I thought I would have a gander and see if there was something of significance I had written in the past about my experience with Christmas which would be worth noting here.
As so often happens when I read other people’s “journals” or “diaries” in book format I found myself critiquing my bad grammar/spelling, reading the crossed out stuff with as much interest as the non scratched stuff and just generally wrap my head around my own past thinking. It is Christmas day, it is now evening. You are pleasantly fatted up from a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. You are now planning on spending a little while putting food away before making your way upstairs for another recovery sleep before rushing to the shops in the morning in the post Christmas sale madness. Hi, sorry I have not been around lately, I will be shortly rectifying that but for now I will give you an introduction to my family during Christmas past and present.
Since we started having kids in 1996 Christmas has grown in leaps and bounds, to a degree the pure amount of presents this year was astounding, especially when we only provided about half ourselves.
It was a lovely day, ended with Rock Band amongst the older kids and adults making fools of themselves trying to sing and or play an instrument of sorts.
My bro-in-law, Ryan Little, has been involved in the “Mormon” movie biz since the beginning and I would like to plug his latest movie – Forever Strong. It’s not a “Mormon” movie but a good, clean show you can take your family to.
And maybe that’s a big part of the “Mormon” movie activity…
We don’t have to make scripture based movies to be heard…
We can make good, clean movies with an uplifting message. Go see this movie. Unfortunately, it will not be coming to Canada but you can see is the states. So if you are close to a showing… go, get inspired and have a good time.
It feels like the North Pole came a little south in December. After having a very non Edmonton like fall Winter came in full force so far this month. As we have averaged about -20 degrees celsius on the old thermometer. (about -4 for you in the USA) Read the rest of this entry »
