So part three in the meteor update. Lasers are going to be used to help find the objects, at least according to the headline.
Except, it is not true. The laser looks for craters of a larger dimension than your average football size. So basically it was another false lead, the race for 10 grand continues. No one so far has claimed to have found any.
Meanwhile the other local paper claims that the search is “narrowing”. The article says the fireball first appeared going down into west central Saskatchewan, apparently it blew up into possibly as many as 1,000 fragments. Apparently fireballs like this are not that uncommon, but I cannot remember any near me in my lifetime. But of course I missed this one, so maybe that doesn’t say a lot.
